I agree it is a Marbled Godwit, but what is it doing? Drinking through a straw?

Reid,
I didn’t know the awnser to this either; I contacted Gus Yaki and he said it looks like it may have found something that it may be eating. However, he did not know what exactly it was the godwit was eating.

Hi Matthew,
I looked in my Sibleys bird book, matched the color and the size of the bird, I am pretty sure that this is a Marbled Godwit.
