Hi just wonder which part of Fish Creek Park did you see the Boreal Chickadee, Am. Three-toed Woodpecker and Greater Yellowlegs? I’ve seen all the other ones here except these three in Fish Creek Park. Thx.
I will pass your question on to the photographer, Tony LePrieur. Usually, though, Boreal Chickadees and Three-toed Woodpeckers are seen in the spruce forests in the west end of the park. Boreals have been regular in the thick woods at Votier’s Flats for a couple of years. Three-toed Woodpeckers are sometimes seen in the Bebo Grove area, or in the woods halfway between Votier’s Flats and Bebo Grove. Greater Yellowlegs can be found on fall migration along the Bow River, or in the ponds near the river at Lafarge Meadows.
