We have seen chukars in Red Deer for the last three summers. They show up in three different areas so I would think there’s more than just a pair. I have post twice on Natural Wise. Google us to check out these posts.
Chukars are often escapees from farms or other places that raise them. I don’t know if they have self-sustaining wild populations in Alberta or not.
